World famous dog trainer and founder of K-9 Pro-Sports , Butch Cappel was at Loyal Guard Kennels training and filming some video for his training bulldogs DVD. While he was here Butch worked our new Mastiff Ceasar and this is what he had to say.

"Caesar is as good a protection dog as I have come across, and I have come across more than a couple.

I have also come across a few English Mastiffs that have been trained in PP work. In fact in 2005 & 06 Louis Williams of Cal. had an English Mastiff finishing near the top at the Championships. I have seen EM's do PP.

Caesar, I feel, is the best EM I have run across.
Full bites and no trouble Crushing a bite bar sleeve. When he hits, you wonder if you picked up a puppy sleeve by mistake.

His energy level is off the charts, and the intensity he puts into a fight, is not what you expect from a dog slightly lighter than a Brahma bull."

Caesar is 160# of very athletic and drivey English Mastiff. Caesar will be going into our bandog program. Caesar's hips have been X-rayed and are excellent. I also really feel the need to comment on Caesar's intelligence level, this dog is a thinker, highly intelligent, highly people oriented and just all around a great dog. Truly if there were more Mastiffs like this their would be no need to have bandogs. Sadly the show ring and modern breeder's mindsets have dragged the mastiff's down to the status of a non-working breed. We are proud to own a throwback to the old working mastiffs named Caesar.

Here Caesar did something very hard to do in this RayAllen suit he bit deep and hard causing Chris a surprisingly large amount of pain. Thanks Chris I could not do it with out you.

Caesar has contributed to our bandog program so far with a female out of Heartbreaker, named Judo, a female out of Snaps named Raven and a female out of Blaque Mamba named Cobra. We also have three grandpuppies out of Caesar as well. On of Caesar's grandsons is none other then our dog Chimera's Deacon.
